I get home every weekend... unless I want to stay out... but, generally I roll in Friday night or early Saturday morning and take off again Monday....

I was on this account before, but switched to a home nightly flatbed gig... but, just returned to the home on weekends account... which, I actually prefer.... when I was on the home nightly gig, I ran 2am to 2pm , but it usually was more lime 1:30 am to 3:30 am.. I would wake up at midnight, leave the house at about 1245 get to yard around 1:30am so I could get in my truck, get load assignment and be ready to roll at 2am.. then hopefully I could run 2 loads and get ba k to the yard before my 14 ran out... most days I would get back home around 5:30.. and by the time I showered, fixed dinner and did chores I wojld get to bed around 8 at the earliest 10 at the latest. ..

For me, it is just easier to be out a week and home on weekends...

Ignore those ads that have "one year experience required." Apply anyway.

    Cardinal Logistics
    Averitt Express
    Coke
    Pepsi

With tanker/hazmat endorsements shouldn't have any problem finding local work and make good money.

Have you tried talking to your company? Explain the situation? Plead?
If you're happy with the company, explain to them that you like where you're at, but have found that your life has made a certain change, and you need to be home on weekends. Have a heart to heart sit-down with someone in the office that you can trust---tell them your desire to be home weekends, and if they can't make it work, you would be forced to look elsewhere.

Living where you live...there is no reason (other than greed on their part) they can't get you home weekly. They don't make money when you're home....so they TRY and tell you there's nothing they can do...but there is.

Don't jump ship until you find out if they are willing to accommodate your needs.

Or the company brochures. We have great home time " Have 4 days off a month and choose your destination"
I remember seeing that brochure from TransAm trucking Several years ago and thought " Wonderful, Also I can make Up to $48,000 per year" --- I Lasted 3 days.
