I'm heeeeeere!!
Customer @133802 is awesome. In & out, live unload, in 33 minutes, from Arrived to Paperwork. Pull in, slide tandems, open doors, wait for truck in front of you. Bump same dock (red light when the truck was lined up good enough for them...I didn't think it was good enough.), on green light go get paperwork signed, then roll. Too bad they aren't all like that!

Enterprise will come pick you up if a reasonable distance. I'd call and check ahead first to make sure you are within their pick-up area.

Hi All,
I am new here, thinking seriously about becoming a driver, and have been reading through DieselFuelOnly's "adventures" thread. I have a couple questions ... Not sure if this is the correct place to ask them... but, ... First, it seems like you guys spend a lot of time driving around looking for empty trailers... Do you get paid for all those miles? And second, ... Is there a "best" time of the year to become a driver ... As in, a time of year when there are more/better opportunities for new drivers?
thanks!

Company drivers get paid for all dispatched miles so if you go hunting emptys then you'll get paid.
The best time is anytime. Everyone has an opinion but realistically it dependsjds on when you are ready - ie have a little cash set by for the job transition, family issues squared away, etc. If you hurry you might even get Micki's Brat.
Indianabuck Thanks this. -
Thank you, sir .... Happy to know that you're paid for all of that ...
I have some flexibility as to when I will start down this road, just want to within a year's time .. I have a wife and kids and I want to find a situation with good home time, so I want to jump in at a time when those types of opportunities are more likely to be found, if there is such a time of the year... -
I have never seen a WS that I actually liked .... Till now! ... That is a pretty sharp truck

Got a few things to do yet, but don't pick up my purple (okay, lavender) glider until probably the 13th. Will go out with a trainer for about a week, starting the 6th. Cross your fingers that the weather holds, so I can put a few more miles on the scoot!!
91B20H8 and dieselfuelonly Thank this. -
Enjoy that time off, bow season starts in 2 days, just sayin
mickimause Thanks this.
