just starting out in the bakken

Been away from the forum for a bit trying to get all my ducks in a row so things at home are okay while I'm doing my 3-4 weeks. Gonna head out for ND on 10/10/14. Wife is riding along to check things out in Williston so we will celebrate 34th anniversary on the road.

Snow and mud stressful driving I will have to learn how to deal with again. Crowded road and traffic congestion stressful.......piece of cake. Try 2 to 2 1/2 hour for 76 miles commute one way for the last 14 years. Really going to miss the SF Bay Area traffic jams.... not!!!!

 

LOL...I was just getting used to these traffic jams neighbor.....I right down the road from ya..."Fairfield"..I at the top of North Texas street.

 

Has anyone heard anything about maverick hauling,llc in williston nd? I am thinking of getting on there rather than a larrge co. Any info/advice would b really helpful. Thanks

Frac sand haulers. Gravel haulers. They own and operate some gravel pits in the area. Haven't heard anything good, haven't heard anything bad. See a lot of their trucks (older) on the road each day so they must be busy....

They have a bunch of subs so not sure who is actual maverick and who is a sub for them.

 

Thanks for the info, the owner seems to be on top of things, looking 4ward to working up there. After 4+ yrs otr, it will be a welcome change from growing roots in the seat!
