WATCH OUT. they will take you into a little room with brite lights then open the closet door that has a mirror and it reflex the brite lights in to your eyes. as they are doing this the smoke start coming in....then you sign z papers....the smoke clears the light dim. and you just lease a 1997 freightliner for $1800 a month

If leasing, always take the most fuel efficient truck they offer. Taking an older truck with lower mpg's to lower the monthly payment may bite you in the butt in fuel costs and un-warrented repairs.

    2014 Cascadia = 9mpg, 120K miles a year, fuel cost $53.3K
    2010 Pete = 7mpg, 120K miles a year, fuel cost $68.5K

You need to look at all items in your business that you can control that will effect profit, mpg being one of the largest.

I saw that they have the new Pete (not sure the model?) and the 680.
But only making .91 CPM is crazy IMO. My rule of thumb is the truck takes 1.00 per mile. I wouldn't take a load from a broker/load board paying anything less then 1.70. Also jct is dispatched, get your own financing get your own truck and trailer and be a real O/O and make real money choosing your loads and in control on your income! Good luck stay safe

We may make .90cpm + fuel surcharge, but we also don't pay fuel taxes or 2290. The company pays those. Also, are truck payment is based on miles ran that week and not a fixed payment. We may be dispatched, but it is not forced and can turn down a load if you so chose.

While this company is not perfect; people do make it here. We also never have to go on an empty trailer hunt and get paid for all miles.

I see alot of people like speaking on the JCT program, the get your own financing and be a "real" o/o sounds great until you figure out that payment is due no matter if you're sick, in the hospital or whatever, and sure you "pick" your own loads, that sounds like alot of fun I rather not have, let's not forget those other use taxes ect. those "real" o/o get to pay, our how about you need a expensive repair done and don't have money, good luck, atleast I can get that paid and continue running. So in reality, I have a partnership with a solid company, and that includes brokers, planners ect. I don't have to hunt for loads, and for .90 cpm + fuel surcharge, I have alot less stress, oh did I mention my payment is tied to my miles, good luck with getting that with a conventional loan. I had to add I get paid for all dispatched miles, empty or loaded, and my discounted fuel at my preferred fuel spot, just makes it all the better. So good luck all you real o/o out there. Just remember, when you looking for a good place JCT isn't such a bad deal.
It seems the people speaking against JCT have not a clue what JCT is about, and that's fine by me, but here's some facts for you to ponder. 🚚💨💨👋✌

Yes, JCT is getting brand new trucks. They have a bunch of 2015 models on the lot and will be ordering the 2016's soon. But, current drivers with the 2010's and 2012's get first choice on those.

Right now, new drivers getting 12 or 14 Cascadia or 13 KW T660.

Macho I was hoping for a auto (most of my experience now with a bad knee) and recruiter said manuals until all trucks are new what are you seeing? I dont mind a 13-14 but need a auto one recruiter said she cant guarantee it so I passed for now really like the JCT model and will end up there hopefully soon

The '12 are all 10speeds. I haven't seen an auto '12. The '14 have a few autos but rarely come available. I don't know about the '15. I know of one guy on here who has a '15 with the Detroit auto trans. Not sure if they also ordered them 10 speeds or not. All of the '16 Cascadias will be with DD15 motor with the Detroit auto shift transmission with 3.07 gears from what I am told at the yard. The '16 KW and Pete's will have 10spds.

The recruiter is correct about they cannot guarantee you a certain truck. It goes by who has all the required work done.
