I was supposed to be headed home, but Edwardsville bites again. Instead I got a load delivering two stops in Lincoln, NE this morning and then another load headed toward Chicago area for delivery tomorrow. This isn't headed to Jurupa Valley boys...

... the problem is Edwardsville's relays are sucking the westbound shipments out of OTR.

Then yesterday as I was taking a midday 10 before delivering my last load I got a call from the Driver Development Manager at Edwardsville. They wanted me to take on a new trainee. I explained I have home time coming as soon as I get back to JP. She said fine, they'll put him up in a hotel while I'm at home (up to three days).

So I picked up my trainee yesterday evening and drove for a pick up in St Joseph, MO, a heavy load that required moving tandems. Finally got settle in and my trainee had the wheel today. He did pretty well.

Raining hard here in Council Bluffs, IA. Taking a 10 at the casino. Much much much easier parking than at any of the truck stops here.

Made a couple hundred bucks on the poker table, so it takes the sting out of missing our pick up appointment this afternoon due to rotting headboard inside the trailer. Wasted hours getting a good empty and missed the customer's shipping and receiving hours. Mac-22 is my friend.

this is how I have been doing it since I started driving, never have gotten def a single time at a terminal and I always pump the allowed fuel first and fill the def.

got a message today from the dm saying ups says we can only deliver the mt's between 0900-1530 monday-friday. saying their drivers are busy there in mornings and late afternoon. i mentioned to the dm he should tell ups where the droplot is and have their drivers pick them up there. told him we could only deliver 2 a day at those hrs. he said i can move trailers from jurupa vally to adelanto. said ok. was a misunderstanding...the trailers at jurupa valley terminal goes to ups too and it was 1500 when i got here. he said the lot at our old fontana yard has mt for walmart that was going to adelanto. shouldve went there instead. so wasted 4 hrs today sitting here at jurupa valley terminal. hope he can change their minds on the times

And I was able to get to this page by posting my last post.

Lepton, your day seems to be all over the place.
You are doing well at the tables, but you missed an appointment because of a rotting headboard?

I guess I would count myself lucky in the end.
Find a different mt and deliver when you can (or want) via mac22, and then go on to win some money.
    Nice!

Go into the settings for the site and change the number of posts per page. I had the same problem a while ago, and that fixed it for me.

Doing a 10 at a rest area on I-75 north of Atlanta.

Starting to get miffed with the keyboard monkeys..hometime supposed to start tomorrow in Mobile AL. All I need is something going to the Gulf Coast area. Finished my soup unload at 4am this morning and then sat in London KY for 10 hrs waiting. Got the same crummy ppln twice running me up the east coast. Refused it both times and was removed both times.

At at the end of sitting for 10hrs, mostly awake, sent another from Horse Cave KY to Atlanta. Not the coast but 4hrs away. Gets me closer so I took it. JIT that they insisted I pick up by 6pm and deliver by 9am on 10/01. Yeah, ok..that delivery ain't happening on this 14. Could've dropped the trailer by 01:00 but customer doesn't open till 07:00. Too bad then..mac22'd delivery till after my 10.

Chillin in Fairburn GA eating a Subway while waiting for my trailer to get loaded. Going to a small Ma&Pa in Pensacola. After I'm unloaded there heading straight to Mobile AL for the remaining 1.5 days out of 3 requested, that I have left. No load out yet.

Had a really tuff time finding the Martin Bower DC in East Point GA a little while ago to drop my MickeyD cups from Horse Cave. QC had me going in circles and mac23 instructions were from their old location from 1.5 years ago. Spotted one of their drivers opposite a stop sign on my third attempt and jumped out to ask him directions. Never dull in Atlanta.

For the Newbs reading...ALWAYS be prepared for anything to go wrong. And don't lose your focus in the middle of mayhem...driving your truck safely is most important.
