Most of my friends are police officers and they would always tell me things to do and not to do and came in handy once. I guy jumped up on my step and was freaking out. There was a cigarette butt on his hood and he thought I did it. I'm 6' tall and 220 pounds. He was maybe 5'8 and a skinny little runt. My door was open and he had grabbed me by the throat and was trying to throw me to the ground. It was like a 12 year old kid picking on me. I was like, what are you doing, isn't this a little excessive. Finally with both hands I hit him in the chest and he went flying and hit the ground. Someone had called the police and they could see the marks on my neck. I told the cops he wasn't really hurting me and chances are I would have killed him if I punched him. They agreed. I didn't press charges but they wrote him a ticket for disturbing the peace and made him leave.

Correctly? Yes. Right? Not so much IMO. But wouldn't help much if you're both in jail, but might be fun if in the same cell though, I'm just sayin...

I'd go the red dye route. Find out what tax authority that would be interested to know a trucking company is running non taxed diesel fuel. I guess every state is different but the feds are the same. The fines will stop him from ever steeling another drop. You handled the situation correctly. What's the sense in getting your hands all bloody and the time it takes. You're not getting paid and the next guy may or may not benefit from your actions. But if this guy has to pay out a couple of grand, he'll stop.
Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -

Please help with my ignorance, but isn't reefer fuel also green-dyed? I thought only agricultural fuel was red-dyed.
