This is a few months old but I figured I share it. The pay this year in particular has been exceptional. It pays to stay here a few years. I've been here going on 7 years next March. I might hit $68k but definitely $64,500. They just gave us an unannounced bonus. It was a pay roll error initially, but they decided to let us keep it! Usually companies short you not pay you extra lol. I stay out 3-4 weeks and keep getting raises. My cap was at .49 cents with the band pay package. It is now .52 cents plus band pay. I never was told what the new cap is. I would recommend North east regional and zone 1 as well as any Ohio fleet. I'm not sure how I feel about the Southern fleets but the guys seem happier then years past.

I am sorry but I don't get it .
My drivers gets 0.40 cents per mile driving dry vans. One of my best drivers who doesn't mind taking his reset on the road he makes roughly 12 000 to 13 000 miles a month.
If you DON'T add the stops we are paying plus the $ 100 if he resets on the road, this driver makes up to $ 70 k a year if not more .
I am not saying you're liar , I am just saying your numbers doesn't add up .
Check this out .

115,000 miles times .54cents per mile average (I'm on a band pay with different rates for loads below 550 miles. Barr Nunn hires at .48 cents plus band pay. I get more because of longevity.)
$62,100 plus I get a quarterly bonus for CSA of $450 so $1800 there plus one halve day off with this bonus that's about another $400. I get a longevity bonus of $312.50 every 60k miles. Only one this year. 2 weeks vacation at about $2100. $255 in detention and or stop pay. I've got another $1,000 in misc pay. I forget what that was from. I'm on track to run 115,000 miles staying out like your driver. Things could slow down though. I'm around 420 miles a day 6 days a week.

I'd hate to run as many miles as your driver runs. My back would suffer!Lesmeister Thanks this. -
It makes more sense now .
I couldn't understand how come my driver makes more than you even you're paid better than him. -
Wonder how long that's going to last. Even though your reviews on this website are terrible. I just heard knight transportation bought you out.
-
Well at least the two were compatible. One has a sliding scale and the other has band pay.
-
What is band pay ?
Do you have to be a
musician to drive for these guys ?
-
I'm curious what Band Pay means as well. I Googled it and only Barr Nunn uses that term.
-
It's additional pay for loaded miles. For example, if you get .47 base pay and you deadhead 100 miles you get 100 x .47. Then if you go loaded 315 miles you get 315 x (.47+.04).
0-100 is 88 cpm
101-200 is base plus 10cents
201-300 is base plus 6 cents
301-400 is base plus 4 cents
401- 550 is base pluse 2 cents
dead head and split loads only get base rate. With band pay I average about 2.25 to 2.5 cents more per mile than my base rate after I factor all the miles I ran for the year. -
I'm sure knight will ruin that...knight don't like paying..just wait till knight completely takes over payroll...you'll be calling every week to have 1 or more trips paid because they will claim "transflo messed up"..which is bs, they do more ripping off on pay than anyone I've seen...
