I have been looking into flatbed companies and Waggoners Trucking seems to have the best deal out there. they offer 100% 401K matching, free medical, and their pay rate is .56 split team to start, and after 90 days its .62 split. That puts you at $1550 per week running 5000 miles, witch will not be a problem séance they run Cal, Texas, Montana and Alberta Canada. My only concern is that I cant get any input on this company, everyone seems to focus on TMC, or Maverick.
This deal sounds to good to be truth!

Remember, that $1550 a week gets split between both drivers. Your half would be $775/ week. For driving 2500 miles that's a little on the low side, also doing 5000 miles a week means that you'll be out pretty much all the time.
Sounds like kind of a crappy deal to me but I must say a 100% company match 401K is exceptional if they don't have a super low limit to employee contributions.

Another thing with Waggoners is that they run all LTL flat. Those kind of miles are going to be hard to get with all those stops.
I absolutely hate multi stops because there is so much more unpaid for wasted time sitting and waiting to load or unload. Way worse than if you do long haul and only load a couple or three times a week. -
I ran his numbers and he already ran the team split to get to 1550.00

The old saying " IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE....IT USUALLY IS ". I have found in the past this usually holds up. good luck tho.

The $1550 would be per person, I just wish I could get some feedback from someone that works for them, or knows something about this company. Weather is good or bad, it would help make an easier decision.
THANK'S FOR THE IMPUT. -
I have found that the drivers with the best paying jobs out there never talk about their pay. The reason? They do not want a flood of applicants coming in and pushing their wages down. More drivers means fewer miles to divvy up between the drivers already there.
I have heard nothing bad about this company in the past year since I became aware of them. They focus on west coast and I am an Easterner so I crossed them off as a viable option. -
I have some in-laws that drive for that company. I don't have any particulars about the company, I didn't ask them, I don't go there with in-laws. BUT, they are very happy driving for that company and have been doing it for - I don't even know, a long, long time. It's a married couple and they love spending their life on the road - together. That may not help very much, but for someone to spend that much time with a company with as many years experience they have might say a little something about the company.

They match a full 100% of all your contributions up to the maximum allowed? I seriously doubt it. You need to ask or read the fine print. No company in any industry matches your 401K dollar for dollar to the max. What they're probably doing is matching 100% up to the first 3-6% of your contributions. Which means if you contribute 5% of your gross wages into retirement they probably do match that 100% but don't match anything above that 5%. That's pretty much how 401K company matches work in all industries and they aren't likely to be any different.

Also ask how long you have to wait before they start matching. Some companys wait a year. Does'nt sound like a long time, but every penny counts. 401K is a big plus for employment decisions. Best of luck to you.
