I dont know why you sound so excited about this. Heck your too ugly to get another cheerleading job like the one you got with prime. :biggrin_2559:

First, I'm not "excited" about the prospect, it's just that I can foresee the conditions that will bring it about. Second, I don't "cheerlead" for Prime. I will correct the misstatements I see on this forum, and if you'd been paying attention yesterday in the 20-thread you'd have noted I wasn't very pleased with those chowderheads in sales.

The dawg :grommit: does a better job than autopilot!

I do agree with your points. When I hear about 'self-driving cars' I think "that is better than the NUTS driving them now" I have to think a computer is more predictable than 'facebook texting Bob in the Audi'.

Of course I feel the 'shippers' will be paying the body-in-the-cab one cent per-mile while the truck is in the driverless mode. Out of the hole these driverless vehicles will cost 10's of $1000s more and the drives will be the ones picking up that cost, not the company.

IMO driverless trains will happen before driverless big rigs.

Either way it is the future and all the young guys in their 20's wanting to be a 'trucker' should consider another profession.

It could eventually happen I suppose. But nobody that's alive today will have anything to worry about.
