York, NE. Got a pplan before left the hotel and it was a MOMS down to the state prison in TX. Got to the truck and see that they want me to pu and t-call in Edwardsville. Declined unless see a back up out of there. DM removes it because it was hinky. It was set up as a rail load. Same planner sends again and declined again. My DM sends him a msg that I can make final. Then removed again. Then a pplan going to SLC from MOMS. That I took. Have all day Friday to get it there. I plan on being there in the morning so I can get out of there. Home time PHX 10-7

at a small t/s in adelanto ca for the night. delivered the 2 mt trailers to ups in sylmar ca and came here to pick up another mt for tomorrow morning start. delivery times hasnt changed yet(0900-1530). went to visit my mom but she wasnt home. came here and took a shower(7.00 dollars). last 3 times at the jurupa terminal, the showers been nasty. even the bathroom has trash thrown on the ground. guess these lazy drivers cant hit a 3 foot garbage can hole lol.

Sitting at the receiver, a grocery DC, waiting for these overpaid LUMPERS to get these canned goods off my trailer. Can't go home till they finish. Already into detention.

Because they waste so much time I don't particularly like hauling food and won't pull a reefer anymore.

Laramie, WY. Was planning on going to Sinclair until got here and saw the pretty little sign flashing, light load wind advisory. Winds gusting over 50 mph for the next 75 miles, and I have just a little over 20K. Cheyen to here was bad enough with winds gusting 35+ mph and they shifted coming out of the West to coming out of the South. Oh how I hate I-80 in WY. Got a pplan already. Drop at MOMS and hook another going to Los Lunas for Saturday. Have this feeling that I might be doing a Wal-mart in the near future, store load. Weather map is showing what can be more fun in the morning. Winds dying down but SNOW coming in during the night and early morning, and COLD.

ontario ca. tried to make it to jurupa valley terminal but ran out of my 8 hr clock. got to ups in sylmar ca only to find my blue glad hand hose was hanging by a thread. heading for the shop. see how long this takes. got a message this morning saying ups lengthened the delivery window from 0900-1900. so would've been able to do 3 trips. not now:(

Somewhere in MO at a Love's, headed for a t-call at the New Boston, MI terminal tomorrow evening.

I had a nice 601 mile day, done in just over 10.5 hours of OD time. I averaged 60 MPH today.
Another 600 mile day tomorrow to get me to MI.

It's a little easier with the new drive tires, as I can actually maintain 63 MPH.
My speedometer still shows ~62, but my GPS has me at 63.
It's really strange how many more trucks I pass with that one little mile per hour difference.
Those new tires are really nice, now that the squiggles are done with. For the first week I couldn't seem to maintain a straight line.

Yep, snow. Coming in around midnight. This might change my plans come morning. Have all day to get it to SLC. It is not so much the snow, it is the mixture of the winds and snow.

Be VERY CAREFUL going across Elk Mountain if it's snowing. The wind keeps the snow from sticking BUT the trucks pack the blowing snow into a nasty sheet of ice.
