Then you will get nailed for failing to check securement. Once you take the load its your responsibility to make sure its secured.

As I posted in another one of those threads, I wouldn't want a driver facing cam but just wipe a little grease on the lens of the driver camera if youre that worried about it. Truckings a dirty job and they can not prove that the leas didn't get dirty by accident. The inside cameras are pointed at the driver from the center of the windshield, they will not see into the sleeper anyways.
There are a lot of different types of cameras out there but most record in a loop that varies depending on the size of the memory card they have for the general out the windshield video. Most also have some protected memory that will record events for when the G sensor gets set off (usually around 15 seconds prior to the event and 15 seconds after) for the forward facing cam and the driver cam if it has one and some have a park mode that will store events from a motion detector as well from the forward facing cam.
I only looked at a few that had driver facing cams when shopping for one but none of them recorded anything on the driver cam other than when a G event was recorded. I guess it is possible that there might be some that record more on a loop but why would they, do you really thing a company is going to pay someone to sit and watch drivers pick their noses?
dashcams, drivecams... does yours have audio?

Then I will film myself tugging on the strap and making sure the lock is clicked in place.

That would be what you want, but this is about dashcams and they do not record cargo, they look out the windshield with some having a second lens looking at the driver.
You could get a GoPro and point it anywhere you want. -
I merely mentioned I would get something like that along with the dash cam

If I get a dash cam, they'll film me tugging on something pretty often in the truck.
