Ya, my next load is around 600 miles. Pick up on Saturday and deliver Monday at 1000.
Still, it's a load that gets me through the weekend. And it's better than sitting.

I was totally lazy today, except when I made oatmeal cookies. I read Gone Girl almost all day, even during the commercials of my soap. Great book, I'll pass it along to Steve he likes who done its. I was tempted on several occasions to highlight passages as I read the book resonated with me so, not the psycho killer part but the weird quirks of marriage etc. I thought of going to see the movie with the kids in school, but after my fiasco day yesterday I stayed safely in home.

While cleaning I found out we were out of milk yesterday. I was going to stay home and clean, but milk darn it, a block from the grocery store a loud thump and hissing meant a flat tire that even with roadside assistance took over my day of buying tires and driving to Swift to get Steve's wheels and leave my donut lame car in its place.

So no shower, no underwear truly lazy day. Steve did a two mile hike enjoying the cool weather, and I felt guilty doing relatively nothing for about 15 secs but hey these days are few and far between plenty to get done tomorrow. I am going to take a bath and have an orange martini because it's been a long day.

Sounds like it should be a double orange day.

Los Lunas, NM. Had a pplan when awoke this morning. My PTA was 0800 on the 5th and planner changed it to 0001, general mills to Chino, CA for the 6th at 1045. Total plus one. Declined saying need to see back up for home time. Within 5 mins, removed. Then when day shift came in, a pplan that picks up here going to El Paso for afternoon. Used 13 hours today to get 490 miles. It was National Navajo Nation day in Shiprock. What a mess. Almost 3 hours to get 3 miles, and then dodging cars that were in a rush, and a bunch of drunk Indians.

It's been known for hundreds of years that they can't hold the booze.
    Or is that just folklore?!.

Moses Lake, WA visiting with family while taking a 34. Gate guy at the Walmart DC tells me that I HAVE to take an MT as "this isn't a Swift storage yard".

I didn't take an MT. Many thanks to the Swift people at the DC.

I got caught in that mess last year. I believe it took me closer to 5 hours to get through town. I think we averaged about one car length every ten minutes or so.

El Paso terminal. Picked up this load and it s messed up. It is 27K, Dwight and Church and all of 12 pallets, all in the nose. Scale ticket shows 32K on the drives and he tandems are all the way. All of 19K on the trailer. What can not believe, it is a live unload at Costco in Tolleson so just hang out here until late morning. I just know that when I get there, they are going to tell me to drop it, but why take that chance. I am taking home time there any way.
