Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the trucking industry, and have come here to gain some knowledge on different terminology, processes, and ways in which I can manage my company's freight. Also, I'm hopeful to learn different perspectives on how to schedule and manage our loads.
A little bit of background: I work for an organic foods company that ships from 1 pallet to TL across the nation to various club warehouses, grocery warehouses, and direct customers. While I am currently shipping a majority of our shipments with the various 3PLs (one or two 4PLs) that were there when I started, I'm beginning the process of auditing and rewriting our lanes. It's proving a massive project and no lessons are learnt cheap.
I look forward to learning, and hopefully never ruining any of your days with my scheduling errors.
Best,
Michael
