KKW Trucking Pomona, Ca Orientation

I am currently working with Alicia as my recruiter. Waiting for my employment history to be verified and my back ground check. I am supposed I call her on Friday to find out if everything went ok and hopefully do my drug test and 100lb test on Friday so I can start orientation on Monday. Hope all is still going well for you with this company and really hope to join their work force soon!!

 

They are still waiting for employment verification. I now have to call Monday to see what's going on. I feel I am getting a bit of a run around but this company seems like a great place to work so I will not give up. I just hope something happens soon!!!

 

Currently going thru the same process with them. Have to wait until Monday now as well, but I'm hoping it all works out as I have a squeaky clean background and employment record. Maybe they are just swamped with applicants.....

 

Well I am glad to know I am not alone SVNRA. I hope something happens Monday. And if you are in the same boat as me then maybe we will end up in orientation at the same time. My application was not approved. I was told that with the limited space openings they have right now they only selected 2 trainees and I was not one of them. Feeling a little bummed but I will keep trying.

 

KKW put a new ad up on CL this morning so I applied again.

 

I'm looking at starting a truck driving school so that I can apply for a position at KKW

 

I've been a kkw driver for about two months,in my experience so far pay is good , I average 700-800 a week depending on how they run me. They have good equipment 2012 and newer, they gave me a 2015 0 miles automatic and for what I was told they're looking to go automatic because is less expensive.
My only complaint is that so far I was forced to take my 34 in Washington because they had no loads and today I spent the whole day waiting for a load and nothing, bit during the week they run you pretty good so my advice is try and take your 34 on the weekends and if you communicate with dispatch they often try to get you home.
Overall I think is a good company

 

My wife started fresh out of truck driving school, I followed suit 3 months later and we are now running team, KKW is an awesome company to work for good loads and very friendly staff, Most problems we have on resets are due to our own lacking of planning, We have a 2014 Volvo they have a large enough fleet to have contacts every where from dealerships to tire repair yet small enough that you are treated like family. The owner of the company has an open door policy and is always available to speak with. Running team we pulled a little over 5000 miles last week. Works great for us because we can stop by the house a few hours a couple times a week, We always plan our reset at home. Spending time in the office with Alicia she has a stack of applicants on her desk always the process is a bit slow but they seem to always follow through.
