Indian River Transport- The journey begins

The bent stack was due to a tree clearance issue. and it wasn't so much the length of the truck it was the height. Side loaders run about 10 6' while Vans are 13 6" That was the lesson learned that day. Oh well. Not the only fish although I did like everything about them except their rider program. Other companies abound. I really did like what they had to offer though. I'm not mad or bitter. Just disappointed that I wasn't given a chance to explain. Oh well. It's all good. Peace brothers and keep it between the ditches.

Contrary to what certain people seem to believe, getting turned down for one job or another doesn't mean the world is going to end or that you have to start taking it up the butthole from some megacarrier just to get a paycheck. Keep pluggin away at your job search and see what you can find.

 

Now me, if something were to happen to IRT as a company or to my job for whatever reason, I would probably move somewhere else and either go to work for another food grade tanker company or go back to reefer.

 

I am currently employed and I do like my current job. I just want to switch to OTR . I like being proactive in a job search. I don't like having to take what ever I am offered. I think some recruiters like it when you NEED a job as opposed to WANTING a job. I don't need to work for IRT. But I sure did WANT to. I don't WANT to work at a bottom feeder. But It seems as though the game is rigged that I may need tyo to get OTR experience. I'm not giving in though. I want the upper hand.

 

What's everyone out in Clovis doing right now? Are the miles still good being dispatched out of there?

 

Not sure. Might be heading that way tomorrow, delivering in Winnsboro, TX first.

 

Hell yes. Got milk flying out of our arses. Come getcha some.

 

Hell man you can get 3000 miles a week just running three milk loads to San Antonio and deadheading back. That's what I've been doing. To hell with winter haven.

 

Delivered one load to oak farms dairy. The rest have gone to HEB.
