    There are no "little accidents".
That attitude is the first thing that needs fixed.

"That attitude"??? What's up with your attitude. Putting a scratch on the end bumper cap would definitely qualify as a little accident. Hell, I ripped one off and that was still a little accident. lots of non-reportable accidents could be a could be considered little.

I watched a driver take out a mail box. That is a little accident.

The whole its just a little accident is a big part of the trouble with the industry today !
There is no excuse to hit anything EVER !!!!
You have to do the job you were hired to do and that is to be a professional driver !!!

It is simple stop and look before you hit crap not after you hit it !!
Stop being lazy and pull your head out of what ever hole you keep it in and do the job right the first time .
If you have time to look at what ever it is you ran over after you hit it you have time to get out and look before you run over it .

This whole attitude that you are expected to hit stuff is idiotic .
Hitting things is not part of learning how to do the job NOT hitting things is how you learn to do the job right !
I don't care how big the damage is you DON'T hit things EVER .

Before you ask the answer is no I have hot ran over backed over hit turning or done any damage to property in 33 years .
I was taught to look before you hit something not after .

If drivers cared more about the little things the big things would take care of themselves .
It is the small things that get you not the big ones .

So there is where the "attitude" comes from on the there are no little accidents .
If that is an "attitude " then heck yes I have an attitude and I will always have the attitude THERE ARE NO LITTLE ACCIDENTS !!!

You can make all the excuses you want but.........

OK I am getting off my soap box now .

Wow. Mister Zero Defect proclaims from his golden throne. :biggrin_25514:

There are small accidents and there are big accidents and there are catastrophic accidents.
Mature adults understand the shadings of situational incidents and their behavior reflects this.

Saying there are no small accidents is like saying there are no small crimes -- death penalty for stealing a candy bar, says the Zealot.
Death penalty for backing into a trash can!
Kill your career for a fender mirror!
Some people just like to see other people burn...

    Feh. Never mind.

LOL well I should have known that I would flamed for not telling you that it is ok to run over back into and just hit anything you want .
I am also not holier than anyone that was not even thought of when I typed the response But I do like the title and I do like the 2 halo look too LMAO !

As with anything in life who is to say what a little accident is .
Obviously you are ok with hitting things as long as it does not surpass a certain amount of damage .
My point is not that I am Mr. zero defect proclaiming from my golden throne (although I do love the title LMAO)

The point I am trying to make is that ANY accident should not be blown off like it don't matter because it was "just"_____ fill in the blank.
Even so called little accidents can and will end your chance of driving for a living .
A good company won't touch you with enough little accidents .
With enough of them even the crappy ones won't want you .

I was not saying that one should never drive again because he hit something .
Hitting things is not a training tool it is not a lesson and it is serious no matter how small the dent ding and scratch.
I am saying that as a professional driver that you should take every "little" dent ding and scratch as serious because they do matter .

I will say one thing though If I was wanting to proclaim from my "golden throne" I have earned that "golden throne " LOL.
The second halo I am still working on though !!!

Thanks for the laughs that's funny I don't care who you are !!!

You are not just handed those million mile accident free miles guys you earn each and every inch of them .
I know that doesn't mean anything to some but it does to those that care about being better than just your average driver.

Be safe and be careful out there .

I know, I know. I get the point of what you're saying, but not everybody is as lucky as you. And I know if you've been driving all that time, you understand LUCK, right? :biggrin_25525:
I wasn't trying to flame you, so don't leave thinking that's what that was!
And yes, stay safe out there, driver.
