My guilty pleasure is - ahem - Faygo Redpop. The Pilot/J has seen it fit to grace their cooler with it, and, being a Michigander that rarely get's there anymore (my tires and suspension are not complaining) I can't believe my luck. The carbonated confection is a delight and takes me back to my childhood the minute I pop the top!

    Michigander and dennisroc Thank this.

I haven't tried it personally, but a friend of mine swears by Soulman's BBQ in Van, TX. Right off I-20 and right next to the Love's. They have plenty of truck parking of their own, or it's an easy walk over from the truck stop.

And off I-30 Xit 77B as well. Great food and I'm usually not one to go for beef bbq. I'm into eastern NC style pork bbq. But, Soulman's is darn good!

Flying J pizza if it's fresh. If it's not fresh I'll pass but if it's fresh then I can't pass it up.
Main reason I try to fuel at Love's most of the time haha they have no good food at Love's so I don't eat as much.

Bought a hotdog from a local truck stop around 5pm, took a bite of it and I thought I was eating a hotdog sized vienna sausage. It was soft, probably been on the rollers the whole day. SMH, didn't even want to dispute the 2 bucks.

If the dog is dark (they should be light or tan in color), has wrinkles, or looks oily, walk away. Those are the classic symptoms of hot dogs being made into Slim Jims.

The Petro in Pearsall TX has those special black hotdogs quite often. I don't mean dark brown either!
