The last pilot/ flying J i stopped at was a dump, been a few years, but I hear since they got caught with there hand in the cookie jar so to speak they've let them go to crap?. I like my loves card I get diamond status every month, unlimited showers, 4 points for fuel and def and unlimited drink refills, yeah it sucks they don't have full service restaurants, But i cook in the trk 99.9% any way.

I was in Chemult, OR, middle of the day and a few trucks in the lot. They only have 4 showers and I waited over an hour for a shower.
I guess some drivers view a shower as a poor man's hotel room,

I fuel exclusively at PFJ except for at yards. I generally have 7-8 showers at a time because I fuel often because of weight. I never run out of showers. I horde them. Like the guys who horde load locks.

How often do OTR truck drivers stop at an inn or motel for their 10 hour break? Chances are, there are clean beds and clean showers to use at these inns or motels. Also, chances are that parking for the trucks are more secure.

The new Pilot at Morris, IL has a drivers' lounge, and a few others you wouldn't expect do, too, including those Loves locations which were formerly Flying J. Staying at a place to get a room isn't always possible, and if the driver has to pay out of pocket, it doesn't happen all that much, and for me, day cabs are the exception.

I had a day cab loaner and got a room because of circumstances, I don't think dispatch remembered I was in a day cab. Fastest truck I've driven in the past 5 years, too. Beat the heck out of that 9400 with ISX and the air that worked when you didn't need it I had for another loaner. Even if it was a Sterling.

You weren't waiting on a trucker, you were waiting on the stoner employee to stop tripping and clean the room...
