Hoosier Tradewinds

Who knows why Tradewinds does the things they do. The truth is, I used to dispatch for them. They wanted me to have one of my drivers pick up a trailer, which had no brakes on it, get it loaded and bring it back to Indiana. I had my driver go get a trailer that I knew was good, and I know this because I had to get someone to fix it. One of the load planners a little later in the day asked me if I knew where my driver was, and I replied yes I do. The operations manager, DJ, came to my cubicle and asked if I gave the driver my authorization to pick up another trailer. I said yes, and a few days later guess what, I got fired. Now why do you think I got fired? I was told it was because I could not do my job. Ask me about Tradewinds and I will honestly tell you. I still converse with several of my drivers who Tradewinds has also screwed. Holding onto a drivers' escrow money after the driver quits is not what the company is supposed to do either, but they do. What is Christian about this company? They lie to you, then turn around and try and teach their kids not to lie. That's what I call Christian. They also talk about the drivers' behind their back also. Some great company to work for. All the drivers' should get together and sue this company. This might put them out of business.

So what does your husband think about DJ? And I am sorry, I misread your question. It is after 4am and I have been sick, so I apologize.

Tradewinds fired me for doing my job as a dispatcher. They wanted me to have one of my drivers load a trailer that had no brakes on it and bring it back to Indiana. Upon my own, I had my driver pick up a good trailer. When the load planner(Kevin) found out that my driver was on his way to pick up a good trailer, Kevin let DJ know and I was then approached. A few days later, I got fired. I was told that I was unable to do my job as a dispatcher. If I would have had my driver load an unsafe trailer, DOT would have stopped him and we both would have been in trouble. Not only that, what if the brake drums would have blown with him pulling this trailer? People would have hurt along with my driver. As a dispatcher, I can not justify that. I look at drivers differently. If it was not for the drivers, I would not be getting paid. Most dispatchers do not have respect for drivers. I do. They are people just like you and I. Drivers are the reason that office workers are paid. As long as my drives are honest with me, try to do their best, I will go the extra mile for them. I am still in contact with several of my drivers. A few of us talk on a daily basis. They are great guys.

Did you say that DJ got fired? Boy am I surprised! Oh Yes, I know Dave R. Such an A--H---!! Dave sat right across from me and would listen to all my conversations with my drivers. I am sure that he told the company what I said to several of them. If a load was placed upon one of my drivers, and I did not think it was feasible for them, I would tell them not to take the load. This is how I am.

If you the know the specifics about DJ, please let me know. And if any other drivers out there read this post, hats off to you guys for the great job you all do.

 

Dave R is one of the dispatchers. He did help me when I needed help and DJ(operations manager) did not have time to help me, which was his job. I do not know some of these people who got fired. When I worked there, they had no night dispatcher. Please do not let your parents back down from taking Tradewinds to court. They need to pay the drivers for the work they have done. Did you know that as long as you tell the truth about Tradewinds, they cannot do anything about it? I have many times about putting a piece in one of the county papers about them. They advertise in Guts and Glory. I had called this company(Guts and Glory) to see if they would let me put an ad next to Tradewinds ad, but they would not let me do it. Everyone out there needs to know about Tradewinds and how they operate. God put in me in that office for a reason and he took me out for one. Every since I got fired, I have been trying to spread the word about them(only the truth). Most of those people in that place have more crap than a Christmas turkey.
