[h=1]Driver holds truckload of frozen chicken for ransom, abandons it after Idaho company won't pay[/h]Associated Press Sept. 25, 2014 | 9:42 a.m. EDT | U.S. News & World Report

[photo caption:] A semitrailer carrying 35,000 pounds of frozen chicken is abandoned at a western Montana truck, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 in Missoula, Mont. An employee of an Idaho trucking company abandoned the trailer load of frozen chicken after the company reportedly refused a ransom demand, Missoula County officials said. The 53-foot trailer, dripping the rancid juices of rotting chicken, was discovered near the Flying J Truck Stop west of Missoula on Tuesday. Truck stop manager Crystal Friede said the trailer had been there since at least Saturday. It contained 35,000 pounds of chicken worth $80,000, officials said.

    quote from the article

"Hall picked up the trailer in Springdale, Arkansas, on Aug. 20 and was supposed to deliver it to Kent, Washington, the next day."

This is disgusting and very disturbing; not to mention the tragedy of wasted food when seniors are starving (http://endseniorhunger.aarp.org/ ) I hope they find the driver and he gets a long stay in the state pen.
