Well I was going to exit the thread but since you enjoy my prescence so much I think I'll stick around for awhile. I still get pm's and questions about them so I'll continue to tell the real story while you pour the koolaid.

208,000 in 16 months? That's 13,000 a month. You aren't doing that with THIS company. Or wait is it 21 months ? 3 weeks ago you posted you'd been here 21 months. Clearly in your less than 2 years you've amassed more wisdom and knowledge about the company than those who came before you and have/had been there much longer. Hell you can't decide from one week to the next how long you've been here. You don't know the company as well as you claim to. Most of us posting here are much better connected within the company than you are, even now

The more you open your mouth the more you come off just looking butt hurt that someone held up a mirror and you didn't like the true reflection in it. To say you've never experienced the same issues everyone else at the company has is just complete bs.

My my pilots license, deeds to my houses and cd sales are all public record. They can easily be looked up and verified. That's not a little Cessna I'm sitting in in my profile pic you moron.

The bottom line that you can't defend and I can back up is that the dramatic increase in turnover rate since the first of the year is real. That many drivers haven't left all at once for no reason. At this point you're just wasting my time and the forum's. I'll no longer respond to your posts in the interest of being civil and abiding by the rules of the forum but I think everyone is smart enough to figure it out for themselves.

Anyone who wants the real deal can pm me.

You called me a moron. I'm crushed. You couldn't make it at Epes because you whine a lot. Period. And I've now been with the company 22 months, 16 months with my 2014. But why am I explaining this to you?? Go deliver a bed or sofa or something. My entire household has gotten a kick out of reading your garbage.

Hello guys. Just found this site and I am a fellow EPES driver. Great reading on here.....but because of the late 'bickering' I figured I'd sign up and post a few things to help 'settle in' the ease of the truth! And what I will say is just that, THE TRUTH! I have been at EPES for close to 3 years. Longer than Icyhot, but not as long as sdaniel(who is a well known, great guy and driver), or flyingmusician(who is also a great guy and driver), but I chose to leave the company. YES, I only left for 2 weeks, but came back. Don't know how long I will be with the company....nothing has changed at all. Yes, there was the safety bonus change, the 3 cent raise change....see Icy, I was one of those '30 or something' drivers that left about 2 weeks ago. 1600-1800 miles with being out for 7-8 days is just ridiculious! There is NO POSSIBLE WAY you have done 200K miles in the time you have been with EPES! My first year, I did, which was only 9 months outta 12, 28K(take home, NOT PER DIEM!)......only got around 70k miles. Second year, first full year, I made(WITH per diem) right over 34K.....average miles was 108K, this was before the rules change, only went home for a 34 hour restart. ok I might have snuck in a 38....oh well. EPES is a tremendous company to start with. I had no other option but to go back, because of 'Obamacare' and I need that $500....YES $500 dollar paycheck to help support my wife and little son. I talked to Tina, had a heart-to-heart talk to her and she fully understands my situation. BUT, my first week back and I have NOT seen a change at all. Another 1800 mile week. With the closing weeks, of the year coming up, I'll have made almost 30K THIS YEAR! And when I left, 2 weeks ago, I was only sitting at around 65K miles for the year! My trainer here said, all drivers are full of crap....and I clearly know you are totally full of it! Flyings/sdaniels/and all the earlier posters 'stories' of EPES are true to form. Your's, however, isn't. And I know, I still am here...I need to support my family, and it IS REALLY ROUGH!!! Especially when I haven't complained, turned down any loads, did everything they asked me. I live 10 miles from the yard in greensboro and they just treat me like I'm a nobody. The whole attitude has changed COMPLETELY from when I started. This use to be a really awesome outfit to work for.....but I'm praising God that my wife finally got a full time gig to help out with the bills and I'm just waiting until January and jumping ship from trucking completely! Got my State Forklift License/CDL I can easily make $15 an hour(with overtime/etc) at a warehouse and make more than I've made here. I was making $16 an hour before the Economy went to crap and still cleared 36K. No Icy, you can't be an honest poster here...EPES has become a GREAT TRAINING COMPANY! That is all. I was making 37 cpm....2 weeks ago they raised me to 41 cpm to try and keep me.....I came back and TIna raised me to 42 cpm....but, that may sound great an all...I'm still at 1800 miles a week.....not too much of a difference. As I have said, I'm new here and NOT going against the rules of this forum, I just think it's fair to post the truth. EPES is a great, tremendous, trainer company....get your experience and move on!
Also, yes it IS true that you have actually done 200K.....but that's not what you were paid for! I did a run from g'boro yard to south windsor, Macy's run this past monday.....they paid me 620 miles...followed the route suggestion and guess what....it was 700! Found a quicker way and did it in 680. Still, and hours worth of work, on my time. The run I'm on now, mt miles was 96...I did 117. LM was 896 and it's actually 920. So, in all fairness, I actually have more miles than you have here....but that's actual miles and not paid miles.

What are you going to say now? Want me to post my last one for this year when I get it? Learn how to drive a truck before you stop calling me out Mr. 1800 mile man...

and BTW, I'm NOT Dinkytruckerdoo. Nice of you to share that info of your paystub(it didn't work anyways....it's not very smart to share personal info on the internet, I'm sure someone from a third world country would love that info you posted that didn't go through)....but look.....it's a known fact, you are a favorite/golden child. Sdaniel said making a 4 figure check at EPES is really easy to do.....but.....look at all previous employees that were here, if you really read this whole thread. Teqntex didn't get but 1800 miles a week, flying got good miles but was forced to stay out and no regular home time. Pops, he was in the same boat I'm in here....NO MILES! I don't whine and complain....I do my job and what is told/asked of me and all I get is 200 miles a day....these past 2 runs have been the longest I've had since JUNE....yes, JUNE! Have you been to the yard, in Greensboro lately? Oh I stayed there last night. Got there around 0130 and lot was full of empty trucks. Had to go see Nate about a spare key this morning for my new truck and asked what was up with all the trucks, it's Thursday morning. He said, about a quarter of them are new, waiting to be issued. 2 of them are lease/,o/o, and the rest have been turned in by drivers who've left.

So, like I said, EPES is a great trainer company, but I'm NOT seeing how all these people are making money and I'm not! That's why I quit. I went next door and that place is a total NIGHTMARE beyond belief. Not only do they have a really high driver turnover, shucks, even the OFFICE has a high turnover rate! lol But, I need to make what little money I make, right now, to survive....but by next year I'm done, with trucking completely. I really LOVE trucking but, as they say, sometimes you find a job you love and it just doesn't either a) work out or b) not enough money to even deal with it. My situation in 3 years has been b! I don't think my situation is gonna change. I know how trucking is......it'll get better, I'm sure, for the next few weeks, but then it'll be right back to 1600-1800 mile weeks. PLUS, why should they pay me 42 cpm for 2600, when they can get a new trainee(right off a trainer truck making 32/34 cpm) to do the same amount of miles and pay them less money? That's the trucking business for you(and more of a profit for the company), that's reality of being with a trainer company. Sorry to burst your bubble on the reality of trucking....but that's just how it is, in the real world of trucking.

honestly, let's just be truthful here....I happen to personally know some people that work in the office. I know the ins and outs of some of the drivers from office staff. ;)
