I agree with everything you said.Truckers with yrs exp hate NYC that doesn't mean you're not a real trucker.Just means you prefer other parts to drive in.
How bad is NYC really?

I think you are the one implying that I'm scared of the hills in the Appalachians. I never said that. In fact, I was born and raised in east TN which, you may or may not know, is also in the Appalachian Mtns. I've never lived anywhere else except the hills of southern Appalachia. It is my personal opinion that Pittsburgh is worse. Maybe because the infrastructure is terrible or maybe because I don't know the area as well. I, personally, would rather take a load to NYC over Pittsburgh. I don't understand why that is so offensive to you.FatDaddy Thanks this.

None of them are that bad until you make that dreaded wrong turn.

Its fire and brimstone, and oceans of malcontent and suffering. CB Rambos are so plentiful you have to shut off the CB or risk your eardrums exploding. It is rife with an over-aggressive police force that sprout wings of hellfire if you dare mention to them you have rights. The sky is always dark and rains blood in the afternoon. The slightest mistake on your part will be greeted by a chorus of horns and waving middle fingers from the demon possessed 4-wheelers. If you make a mistake and exit onto a parkway the gates of hell will be thrown open and a pale rider, a rider of the apocalypse named Death will burst through and scare you back down the on-ramp, and back onto the main highway.
Do not listen to people in this thread saying NYC is no place to be afraid of. They are agents of evil trying to trick you into condemning yourself. Only the ###### tread the unholy ground of NYC. The ground there is soaked with the tears of those who didn't listen to reason and didn't turn down loads going there. They instead sought to brave the horrors contained there and lost everything. The burnt out wrecks of their tractor-trailers surround NYC in a ring to warn people that only misery and suffering will be found here if you travel further.
So how does NYC compare to DFW? Its like night and day. Safe travels driver. -
They aren't. Atlanta is tough because it's not a grid, and they have 20,000 different streets that are all called Peach or Peachtree...and they're easy to confuse. Yes, you can really be standing at the intersection of Peachtree and Peachtree. I've done it.. Boston might be worse than NYC. Boston sucks ### in a car. I've done Atlanta, Chicago and NYC and of all 3, I'll take Chicago, any day of the week.beckdg Thanks this.

Boston is up there with NYC and I would say it would be the 2nd worse city in the country to drive in. Atlanta you can definitely get lost in but unlike NYC you can find places to turn around pretty quickly, the bridge heights are clearly and correctedly marked, and you have a lot less congestion in Atlanta. I've been lost in both cities and I would rather be lost in Atlanta then NYC.

Yeah, pretty much most of the day and half the night resembles rush hour around here anymore. I dont know where they all come from, starting to wonder if there even from Earth.Numb Thanks this.

The majority of people who claim Pittsburgh is the worse city to drive in are scared of driving in the appalachian mountains. That is why I always bring that up because 99% of the time it boils down to people being not use to the geography and it scares them when driving. Anyway I don't get the infrastructure gripe NYC looks like a warzone and is worse then Pittsburgh in regards to infrastucture. Not saying Pittsburgh is easy I just don't get how it's worse the NYC.
