Bad times to be a trucker. I started in 1998 and hate what's gone down since then. I can't imagine being an old hand out here from the 1960's or 70's and going through all this BS!

Unfortunately they will be right there waiting to hand out tickets for obstructing traffic and holding up the precious general public.

And the ATA and big companies account for less than 10% of the companies, yet they want to run the whole industry.

How many of you on here complaining actually send emails, letters or call your elected officials and voice your opinions?. If your not then get busy. If they only here from people pushing the idea and nothing from the opposition who do you think the politicians listen too?.

That would be easy to get thrown out in traffic court. I guess I just don't worry about all of this speed limiter stuff. I never really run over 1450 rpm / 63 anyway, even though my truck will run well over 100 mph, we have no idea yet what the FMCSA is going to promote speed limiters be set at... 65, 68, 70... no one knows right now. And anyone with a little creativity can set an ECM so that it can run over the speed limiter, while the limiter is still set, by at least up to 10 mph over. And if an LEO wanted to plug in, the ECM would show the limiter set at the regulation limit. Some Canadian and U.S. drivers who run Canada and their limiter rule and have their ECM's set up like this. I think some folks just worry to #### much about things sometimes. But, that tends to happen when people irrationally fear the unknown.

I want to submit my comments on this mandatory speed limiter proposal...

I was told to go to Federal Register website and click on the date I'm looking for, then click on FMCSA and then click on the notice I'm looking for, choose the format... and once I find the info I'm looking for, copy the docket #, check the due date to send comment, and then go to Regulations.gov
to submit my comment online... Or send by fax to 202-493-2251 or by mail to

GREAT... Only problem is.... what date should I be looking for on this proposal?????? Does anybody here know??
I sent an email to my rep but want to send my comment during the open for discussion period too...
