Parked Here for the Night

Hey.... did someone here say that Johnson's Corner in Loveland, CO closed and was put for sale? Well... I passed by there yesterday and it was still open... restaurant, lots of trucks on the parking lot and everything...

 

I heard TA bought it.

 

TA in Wheeling right? Although that place is generally a cluster I like to walk across the street to DiCarlo's and get their pizza. They just throw the mozzarella on top of the cooked pizza and let it melt it. It's pretty darn good

Ok... but I saw big signs saying Johnson's Corner.... and no TA sign... everything looks still the same...

 

Hey.... Thank you FatDaddy... yeah... I remember this article.... I wonder if TA didn't buy them after all... I saw the Sinclair sign there though...

 

It's been a fee years since I've been out there so I may be wrong but I always thought it was Sinclair. Again don't quote me on that. According to the article the timeframe on the transition should be very soon so maybe there's some i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed

 

How far east did you get? I'm waiting to unload at Kroger in Delaware, OH. and plan to stop early at the TA in Hebron, OH. Did a close 8/2 split today and just no reason to press on and park at the one in Valley Grove, WV probably for the same reasons you don't want to. I have all day tomorrow to get to the DC area, so no hurry. If you haven't already passed by there, stop on in and say hi. Or just do a royal wave from the freeway on your way to Cabellas LOL. My smarter half as well as the dog are along this time, so you'd get to meet the whole fam damily.

I was thru Ocala a few days ago. Their two weeks of winter have not arrived yet. 89º and swampy was the forecast all week. Probably even more to your liking further south. I'm just not a fan of places where you go in for a shower, and then need another one after walking back to the truck LOL.

On an unrelated note: Any of you grocery haulers know if the staging lot I see on Google sat view for C&S Upper Marlboro, MD. is good for overnight parking? Can't decide where I want to stage for a midnight Monday morning appointment, and don't want to drive all the way in there if they're gonna kick me out.

I didnt leave , I am still at pilot in ohio . I think its exit 92 and I think there is a TA on the other side of 70.

I am just gonna leave in the morning get to WV around 9 or so , fuel , and hit Cabelas for a few hrs there in wheeling . Then I will motor on over to Pittsburgh since I can park at the receiver. .
