yeah thats the downside of running dedicated, missing out on the bonus's but being home more often and consistent miles keeps me doing it.

At the Super-Great in Greer watching football ... any day watching football is a good day. Finished my 200 hours yesterday. Monday morning I'm scheduled for Sims class at 6:00am and then Close Quarters at 8:00am. I'm hoping that these are the ones I need to upgrade, nothing is very well explained once you're out of the academy or done with your 200 hrs. I suppose I'll find out. Until then I'll just overdose on the NFL.

We're on the same fleet now lol -
Doing a 10 on a nice peaceful and quiet back road in Fairburn Ga.
Picked up my preloaded P&G in Jackson MO after lunch and ran it straight through to Fairburn off I-85 SW of Atlanta. Rained the whole way down. No time for messing around as I had to get here ASAP, do the D/H and set my ten for another pickup in Atlanta after lunch tomorrow.
I WAS supposed to p/u a load going to Minneapolis but on the way down it was removed. Customer rescheduled the load date. No matter because as soon as it was removed I got another 800 miler back to Kansas City, with a early Wednesday delivery so those miles will be on this weeks check.
This last load gives me 3400 miles for this week. I'll take it!! Makes up for the 27hrs I sat in Milwaukee Friday having my time wasted by a keyboard monkey. -
Dont know if its just me or some truckers are becoming more and more of an arsehole, last couple days several trucks will be going slow and as soon as I try to pass them they will speed up and block me from getting over, I had one truck do it to me when I tried to pass him 4 different times and finally succeeded when going up a hill and my load was nice and light so I flew past him. Then all the dang trucks that drive really slow when its a 2 lane hwy and as soon as it opens to a passing lane or 4 lane they speed off into the distance to slow right back down once a 2 lane again. Then the truckers hogging fuel pumps, last night I sat waiting for a driver to move for a whole freaking 27min off duty while he went inside and did his thing for awhile then came out to pump fuel and after hanging up the hoses he decides to clean his windshield and mirrors instead of doing it while pumping, today another for over 20min. Its ridiculous losing hours every week just at the pumps.
I cut it close today shutting down back at the dc with 3min on the 14 and 10 on the 11 left for a total of 636 miles for the day -
No Wolfy it's not you. I see the same crap going on all over the country.
Its hard to be considered "professional" when there is so much stupidity going on. Truckstops look like homeless shelters and smell like outhouses and the Public sees all of this too. Who can blame them for the stereotypes.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
How far do you and your colleagues travel on your dedicated run legs? 300 miles? More, less? And I'm sure the information is in here somewhere, but I'm lazy just now, so what's the 'average' weekly mileage for an experienced solo? 2,800? More, less?

And yet not one trucker anywhere would acknowledge being the one who dumps a pee bottle at a truck stop or accelerating when another truck tries to pass because he thinks his manhood is being challenged. As a group, we have a long way to go before we can be considered "professionals." A long way.HousTank Thanks this.

When I was on team dedicated, running coast to coast from LA, we averaged 5800 miles per week.
An experienced solo OTR driver can average 2800 - 3000. This will depend on freight availability. The first quarter is always slow.HousTank Thanks this. -
Chilling at an I-24 rest area an hour from Nashville. Deliver Wednesday morning in Kansas City. Running on recaps and the System was getting nervous and thought I was running late. Houston ECT asked for a Mac22. Told them not needed..I'm on time, on plan and will be there with 3hrs to spare.
The night guys are pretty cool. They just want to make sure everything's good.
