Generally not. They usually require at least 1 year experience. I'm not going to say the someone with less or no experience has never been hired, but it doesn't seem to be the norm. You have nothing to lose by trying though. If the service center you are applying at has openings but has been getting applicants, you may get lucky. -
Usually you need one year recent driving exp or they will hire you off the dock or used to anyway.

Hey Elendil I live in the greater Jacksonville FL area, My wife has a friend that works HR for FedEx. You say I can make good money working for Their contractor? I love pulling wiggle wagons, and don't mind nights and weekends. I'm currently hauling mail for Pat Salmons, but after christmas work went bust and being on the exboard Ive been sitting for almost 3 weeks. Should I apply for FedEx? Any more info would be great, Thanks!

Is SEFL pay structure market based or universal?

i would stay away from ltl, thin margins, and questionable bonus seeking management. Conway is a mess, Laredo Tx, a huge center, in the south, just went union. Here in the Detroit area, no one wants to work for them. SE only pays straight time after 40.
