ECM is the Truckload side, That's why. ECM still pays well for the area, sure it can be better. Also new equipment and that merged Pitt - ECM HQ/Terminal just built is a nice facility. Also Pitt ohio takes care of road calls.
Not a big fan of either company, but both pay decent for the area of operating and a choice to jump to either carrier in the future. I like options, Options are good.
Horrible companies do exist, Pitt / Ecm is not a bottom feeder outfit if anyone outside looking in is wondering.
Clarify: Pitt / ecm is not my employer, Former coworkers however is employed by both.Last edited: Oct 12, 2014

I've been with Pitt Ohio for 6 years, started as a city driver and have been on line haul for the past 3 years. SlowPoke44magnum pretty much covered it but the current pay rates are a tad higher. There are 3 pay zones based on location and my terminal is in zone 2. Mileage pay where I'm at tops out at .5372 and the hourly rate is 23.47. Drop and hook pay has not gone up in at least 6 years, so it's still 9.50. I'm content and have no intention of leaving any time soon but then again, that could change at any time.
RubberDuck198 and Shaggy Thank this.
