Good evening everyone! I'm baaaaack! I hope everyone is doing ok. George I wondered about them sending you on a recovery. I'm sorry about your truck and hope that you get a new one out of the deal.
jdmredneck, I am so glad that you have decided to try company first! We all think that is the best way to go when you are starting in this business. We'll be here to help you all that we can.
jvlloyd, I second the advice jaso gave you. I think you will find that most of them on this thread would say the same.
honeybadger and I have been working on votes for her in this contest. In an honest world honeybadger has won with individual votes. However, the rules allow the post to be shared multiple times and each time counts as a vote. There is a lady with a little blue smurf doll that has shared her own picture THOUSANDS of times in order to win this contest. If honeybadger wins she will get to pick out a new headset which she desperately needs ......I am going to make a little blue smurf voodoo doll! So, if you haven't shared honeybadger's picture in a few days please do it again, the contest ends tomorrow.gntorres61, dennisroc and jaso37 Thank this. -

You are stuck with your DM once you hire on. The trucks are quite comfy, but you'll make about the same money as a company driver at the end of the day. Out of my orientation class of 36 people(6 experienced drivers, 30 out of driving school), only 3 of us went to company driving. A year later, only 1 company driver was still driving for them. Almost all who leased, had a bill to TransAm when they left($3-10k). Some of them I understand why they did not make it. Others, it was situations out of their control. Either way, lease programs are NOT going to make you rich. Having a VERY thorough understanding of the business, and the dedication to suck it up and pay up front will bring you far more success.gntorres61 and HometimeQueen Thank this.

Still planning on going company but curious how the fuel surcharge works with Trans Am? What are their lease payments? Is anyone with to share what the deductions are?
