Hey everyone,
I'm sure these questions have probably come up at one point but I want to get updated info because everything I have seen online is several years old. My husband, Nic just got a job at Schneider as a regional driver and I am impatient waiting for answers so I figured you guys could help answer some questions for me. First, with regional jobs are you home every weekend or does it vary? How many miles do they normally give a week on average? Do you get holidays off because we always see schneider trucks driving so I just wanted to know how that works. Those are just a few of my questions.

truckerpatrick is the guy. -
poke around the site itself to get familiar about where to post what question?

Milage and home time very greatly, you will have to wait and see. And no he will most likely not get holidays off, at least not for a while. Trucks roll and freight moves 365 days a year. any drives that get home for the holidays are most likely the ones with the most seniority with the company
-
What? That's not true, every company tries to get everyone home on Thanksgiving and Christmas regardless of being a new driver or not. I find it hard to believe that Schneider wouldn't.
HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Do you drive for Schneider? How long? Just curious.
-
No I don't. Just basing on what I have heard from other drivers. And the fact that I see trucks of all companies on the road on all holidays
-
Well believe it or not some drivers chose to stay out on holidays and some companies offer extra money to stay out. Anyone wanting to go home for the big holidays won't have a problem getting home. I spent 14 years OTR and never missed a holiday.
