great except I am not in Houston and don't run flat or step
-
Beleive it or not I have booked 6-7 a mile on step deck freight out of houston on 500 miles plus quite a few times
might not but be a good rate to you , but I think it ain't that baddannythetrucker Thanks this. -
Then don't ask! Geezus!SheepDog Thanks this.
-
Sure beats the .90/mile on a full load I saw posted out of upstate NY headed to IL this morning.
-
Here we go! I usually get $12 to $15 all the time
-
you don't have to believe me, I also have no reason to come on the forum and lie though. Bayou is out of Houston also, ask him about his rates and you probably wont believe him either , until he shows you rate confirmations
I don't jump on the first load Im offered. If a rate doesn't work for me, I wont take the load. This week I haven't moved the truck once , everythings in the toilet. Ill sit and wait rather than let everyone except me make money off my sweat and work.Derailed, Hurst, EverLuc and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm right there with you brother.
It bugs my carriers dispatch to no end when I dont want to take a 45k load @ $2.05 mi going roughly 1600 mi. Too much weight, going too far for not enough. Push came to shuv, I'd run for that going maybe 300 - 400 mi to get me into a better lane. But not for a line haul going that far. I'd rather sit, surf the web, cook chicken or hot dogs on the grill, and wait till something better is offered.
If more of us refused to run at low rates, the rates would have no choice but to go up. The only reason its low is because guys are moving it at those low rates.
Hurst281ric, kachup, EverLuc and 1 other person Thank this.
