Cummins ISX CM871 Regen Temps Question

Doser calibration? Never heard of needing to calibrate a doser. There is an update for the after treatment dosing control unit. That is done through insite but you must use an inline 5 or 6 and usb cable. That number is located in feature and parameters at the bottom on cm 2250 engines only.

 

"Took off and cleaned the venturi, cross over tubes, Deta P sensor, air intake and temp sensor, IMAP sensor, and the doser injector. I have attached some before and after photos of the IMAP sensor and air intake temp sensor. As you can see they are completely clogged with carbon and were useless."

Are these same items on a CM2350? Reason I ask, I now have over 200K on my 2014 550/2050, and its never thrown a code yet, and the DPF restriction gauge has never come off zero. I wonder if the sensors are working properly, particularly since the fuel mileage has steadily been dropping. Started out 7.0 to 7.5, now down to 6.2 or so. Seems like some sort of code should be thrown if the signals never change over time...perhaps tied to throttle position or boost. Maybe Rawze knows something about these later engines?

 

If You only change Aftertreatment Fuel Injector (Injector on the Turbo outlet) NO.If you changing sensors on DPF/DOC or SCR, cleaning or changing DPF/DOC and SCR,YES

 

Yes.I mean the same.Dosing unit.I am using Nexiq adapter and have cm 2350x 101.Insite 7.6.2.Will check again.

 

Ok and when I change aftertreatment doser on turbo do I really have to drain all the coolant out

 

I notice some differences in functionality when connected to ECM simulator or engin ECM. More futures in simulator mode.Can this be due to the type of adapter(Inline or other)?

 

Or what subscription level you have. Pro or basic.

Have a problem with air pressure dropping to 0 when running sometimes with ISX 550 Cummings

 

Is the truck a 2004-2007 model?
