Never read too much into why a swap was done. Perhaps that load got a driver home or there was an hours issue. I am curious though, why he was in NC if he went from WI to FL. That's s bit out if route.
Running with JCT, Part Deux

Welcome back Steele. How was the trip? I know you could not afford anything since us lease purchase people are always broke lol. Did you get lots of tasty treats while you were there?
Steel Tiger Thanks this. -
Trip was FANTASTIC. Covered a lot of ground while we were there. A lot of history, from the dark ages to medieval to WWII. Beautiful architecture and wonderful stories. Got to see family and friends, as well as making new ones.
There's nothing like standing in a building that is over 1500 years old!! Saw the Mona Lisa (wasn't impressed), beautiful works of art from the masters and the Venus de Milo, the code of Hammurabi and much more.
I tell you, pictures and video of the masterful painters don't do them justice once you see them up close and in person.
Visited several castles or chateaux and palaces.
Went to Normandy where the D-Day landings took place. Went to the first town liberated by the allies on D-Day (Ste Mere Eglise). If you ever saw the movie "The Longest Day" from the 60's, there was a scene were Red Buttons was hung up on a church by his parachute. They have a dummy with a parachute hanging there now to commemorate that true event.
Visited several WWII centuries, American, German and French. Saw General George S Patton's grave.
Visited the oldest town in Germany, Treves, which was founded around 16 BC and was built up by Constantine the Great. You can still see the old city walls and gates, Roman baths, and a Roman amphitheater were gladiators fought.
Of course we hit all the highlights of Paris. Kissed my beautiful wife on top of the Eiffel Tower. Saw Napoleon's tomb, Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart), the Louvre, Palace of Versailles, Notre Damme, Arc de Triumph (which we climbed to the top), and many more.
We took 4646 pictures in all!
Only problem was there wasn't enough time. Maybe next year? -
Been told that the Tilted Kilt had some good food just never been able to get there. Was always to late or to tired. LoL
Being unloaded here at Mile Hi Foods now then to the T/A for washout and reefer fuel then up to JBS.
