I was wondering if it was illegal for a foreigner to drive a company truck for free and make the deliveries simply so they could see the country side? Only over a period of weeks??
Any information regarding this idea would be appreciated..
Thanks

what do you mean? as in they wouldnt pay you for miles driven? or are you a lease purchase or an owner op?
-
Why would you want to do that? If you come in and do drive for free, someone is out of a job that may need the money. Plus, that mentality will drive down pay for other drivers trying to make a living. If you want to see the countryside, awesome...drive a truck and take the pay that comes with it.

I'm sure the insurance company would love it

Would an international licence be ok? I know its covered by insurance with hire cars. Its the working illigally issue im concerned about..

From what i have seen in trucking industries, there is always an extra truck lying around with a job to do and no one to do it.. So this isnt an issue..
You couldnt accept pay because then u would be working illigally.. -

It's called a lease purchase.
on this subject there's a local company that went from 2 trucks to 50+ in 4 months, I heard they fly here from overseas and right into a truck. I don't get how it's legal
