you will need your long form for your med card....if it is older than 6months they will have you do another one at their cost.
best of luck. I love working for May, the grass seems to be greener on the other side of a lot of peoples fences. Mine is green enough.

sounds like a great company to work for. my only concern is May not having a drop yard in vegas and hearing they don't have much freight coming thru here. i would like to be western 11 and out 2 weeks off two. with no yard or freight coming thru i think that could be a problem.

Perhaps, but maybe not. Talk to them.

I was out of vegas when I started with May. There is no drop yard, but a lot of the casinos have truck parking, I used to use Boulder Station, just call one near you and ask. As for the hometime, every time I wanted to go home to vegas, it basically cost me a weeks pay because they had to screw around getting me home, then getting me a load out. Often they would have me deadhead to or from Phoenix or LA because they didn't have freight. Then I would get stuck in the Phoenix-La-Portland "L" for a week or two, which I guess is not a problem if you are an 11 driver, but I hate driving west coast and would get these little 300 mile runs with more than 24 hours between pickup and delivery.

May is a good (not great) starter company to work for. If you make it a year, (and most do not) then get the flock out of there. It is a meat grinder. They pay OK for those just starting out, their equipment is good, but that's it. May is a very temporary stepping stone to a better job.

May is a semi OK company. If you are wanting good home time go somewhere else. They HATE drivers being at home. If you get on dispatches good side you will get taken care of.

I get taken care off, and home time I just tell my dm I need a extra day for whatever and she says ok as long as I let her know ahead of time. I'm looking for a local job though or something where I'm out a week and home for the weekend but I haven't found it yet :(

I never had any problems with home time I would stay out 8 weeks then take 6 or 7 days off, had a decent DM. Now I'm on my thrid week of local out Lathrop and is good so far, nice to be home every night.

Unless you have small kids at home who need you, being home every night on a local gig isn't always what it's cracked up to be.
