Just curious. If there was a 12 foot bridge up ahead would you have just kept going forward and claimed it wasn't your fault?

Google mapping it on the computer is a good way to see what the roads look like, zoom in to areas that are questionable, esp if there are railroad tracks, overpasses, ect. Stay on bigger roads if possible.

Here is a link you can put in the hwy # for route conditions, closures.

This one has a bunch of things to look at, including the map

If no points or record, pay and move on, if this is a moving violation: Find local Traffic ticket Lawyer, he probably knows the judge. You will pay some reduced amount, but no record or points. Let me tell you my experience with tickets. When I started driving, I got stuck in some small road in Tennessee, my landing gear hit the asphalt because the road was not leveled for a big truck, one dude with a Farm tractor saw me and stopped to help, but someone called the cops and they said to Farm tractor move on, because you don't have Tow truck Licence. So then after 1 hour Tow truck came, I paid $200 and got a ticket for $187. It was for blocking the road or something. If it wasn't a moving violation I will just pay the ticket and go on. So I found a local lawyer, $500, the judge dismissed the whole ticket and I paid only some $85 court fee, but no record....................

Call some traffic lawyers and they will tell you if there is anything you can do. In the south once your ticket hits the court blotters you get solicitations from a bunch of lawyers. A lawyer may bargain it down to equipment violation or some other non point violation. Depends on your record.
    Good Luck!

You may have a better chance of beating a ticket on that hwy,but if you were going north from the 101 you should of seen all the signs saying no trucks allowed, its very clear right there .GL.

Well I'm going to give it a try and try to do at least a written trial of declarations. And see if I have any luck with that. Probably the reason why I'm freaking out is because I don't know if even though I got pulled over on a commercial vehicle is this going to affect my regular cars insurance? I mean I don't care about pain to take it and getting a point as long as it doesn't affect my insurance on my regular cars and my motorcycle.
