Hey guys any insight on this Long Haul fleet running Midwest to east coast? I was trying to get with Wm private fleet but that fell through and now I'm looking to join the VW family.

Mr Kleen, you may try reading through the thread, we have guys who live either in the Midwest or east coast and run back and forth. You can stay out for several weeks if desired and no forced dispatch. Good luck. BTW we have a website with contact info.

I appreciate that Guard. When I spoke with Tim it seems that this area (Maryland) seems to be great for the long haul fleet. Hoping to hear good news about coming onboard soon. Are you guys really going to full autos? The last one I drove for was a real piece of work. Took its sweet time through intersections lol.

Yes it looks that way, and your right they are slow through intersections. I just picked up a t680 with auto two weeks ago still adjusting...

I know what you mean. Well I've got some good news, I been approved to come onboard. Very excited about this opportunity. No company is perfect but it seems that the turnover is rather low over there and all the driver's I've talked to seem to be happy with the overall experience with vw. I wonder if I will get a auto or 13spd?

Anyone aware of signing a contract to drive for Van Wyk as an driver with limited or no experience?? This doesn't even sound right if VW didn't pay for schooling or reimburse you.
