Great School I Highly Recommend you take The 540 Class which is also Federally Funded so you can get Financial Aid, Its One of the Longest programs out there 5months start to finish But they cover So much Material Map Reading an Log Books being a Huge Plus Since Most of the Bigger companies Require you to be able to Plan out a Trip when you show up for Orientation.

X2 on what you said as I am in the NETTTS Bridgeport, CT. 540 class.
I hit the field next week but have gone in early a few time to do drop & hooks and pre-trip inspections on my own. We as a class have also gone out a few time to do the D&H and pre-trip but I want to make sure I get it down before I hit the field as I hope to get this done and take my DMV road ASAP.
Dave ----jdmredneck33 Thanks this. -
I went to the original NETTS in Somers, CT(2004 20 week course). I received my CDL 2 weeks ahead of time but not because of NETTS, despite NETTS. On a half dozen occasions the classroom instructor either never showed up or was at least an hour late. My road instructor once fell asleep in the cab while I was doing one of my 1-1 driving periods. And... to top it all off when I received my diploma/certificate from them some 3 months after I graduated they spelled my last name wrong. Real shabby operation. Never had us back up to a dock, not even sure they were set up for it. What kind of trucking school doesn't let their students practice backing up to a dock? They tell you "AFTER" you enroll that they are not going to teach you how to drive tractor-trailers, they are going to teach you how to pass the CDL tests. They have one instructor throw one chain on a tire and that's your instruction on chaining up. None of us actually had a chance to try chaining up ourselves which if you ask me should be mandatory. Again.... real shabby operation in my book.

The northandover management is awful and despicable to do business with, once they have your money they stop caring and don't give a #### about you of even give you a test.
