I see a lot of comments in the forum from a few years back, and I would really like to get some input about the company from within the past year or so..thanks!!

8 hrs. and still no response? Does this mean, if one doesn't have something good to say, then don't say anything?
The best company around Clarksville is Bulkmatic in Hopkinsville. Terminals all over the country. Problem is their driver turnover is so low, it's hard to get hired. Their website shows the terminals. Would make thousands and thousands more a year with Bulkmatic than with Averitt.Nirvana and JohnboyTrucker Thank this. -
That speaks a lot for a company..low turnover. Something Averitt does not have from what I've read.

Johnboy Trucker......there really is no PERFECT company!! a good company to me may be a crappy one for you. Some truckers are never satisfied and would ##### if they were home every single night and still ran 4000 miles a week. HA HA!!! I have heard both good and bad about Averitt. You won't know if their situation is a good one for you unless you give them a shot. GOOD LUCK to you!!!

I worked for averitt for 1 1/2 years they are a good company in my opinion. I did not have any problems with my fleet manager and they got me home every weekend except when i chose to stay out longer. my only regret is that i did not go to work for them sooner. The only reason i left is that after 8 years of driving OTR i just got tired of being gone all the time, i did not live close enough to one of averitts terminals to switch to their LTL division. I will answer any questions you have if i can.

I've just heard so many negatives about miles.

Truck Drivers like to b*t*h.....about anything and everything!! With the elogs......you are not gonna run big miles in week ever again!! I used to run 4000-5000 every week on a paper log. When the company I worked for called me in to put in my elog......I quit. That was 3 yrs ago. Now I am looking to getting back in the truck and starting anew. Good luck and keep me posted on what you discover about Averitt
JohnboyTrucker Thanks this. -

Not sure..right now I'm wearing black and from what I'm hearing it might suit me better haha
