Actually you can permit up to a 285" WB but Kingpin Setting drops to 39' and total length to 65'4" for anything above 244"...

Total length in BC is 75' for 244" and over. You can go 285 like you said with 39' trailer wheelbase, but not many have that.
-
Here '4way', Just look for page 57 or BC.

Good luck!fireba11 Thanks this. -
Sounds like a lot of BS, I assume you are making good $$ to take it up there but,,,,what do you get coming back?
-
Not exactly. That's only if he attempts to smuggle.
It is 75'5" overall length, although that isn't super strict. You can get permits for your wheelbase but it does not exempt you from overall length, and depends on the province. Alberta wants the trailer wheelbase shorter.
If he has his california legal trailer closed (I assume it's a rear slider) he's legal. If he has no slider he's legal. -
Thank you all for the answers but my main concern is that my overall length is 76' 5. Can I get a permit in Canada?
-
What's your wheelbase?
-
wheelbase is 280
-
long wheelbase permit voids any other oversize permit they told me last week. A quick call to B.C. permit office will get the best answer.

Coming back?? Wind pudding! BWAHAHA! You're gonna want $6/mi cuz you're coming home ety.
Also, there are lists of legal weamons and how to permit them for CN. Personal use handguns are consideed illegal. Just ask me how I knwo. However, if you are going hunting, a weapon declared as protection fom bears and other people eaters, (even green) are considered legal if permit is purchased-weapon declared before even 50 ft is considered before entering CN. rifles etc are also permitted if you are going hunting. The rules do not state this but if you say Personal Protection they will confiscate.
