I didn't either. But that explains a lot. Everything is bigger in Tx. A meter is probably @ 10 yards long.

Park it on the street. Tell them to get a chain and fork lift. And to drag their freight off if they want it...

A meter is about 1.1 yards.

A gun range I use a lot has their shooting benches placed exactly 5, 10, and 25 meters away from the target. So it makes an easy reference for me when gauging distances.

I've had one situation like this, I got in by dropping/hooking the trailer only once... Getting out was much harder. I remember dropping an hooking the trailer at least 5 times, all with the help of the customer. Little did I know that most of the other drivers in the company(mostly owner operators) refused this load, after being there... It was also my last time, as you tend to remember these.

That dock was obviously built before 53 ft trailers, they should be required to rebuild/relocate the dock or get a switcher and switch tractor to do it with. How do you accomplish that? As some have done, refuse to go there and tell your company why.
