None of the anti universal healthcare members are replying to this because it just destroys all their uninformed opinions

They don't oppose it because they haven't figured out yet that it is essentially "rationed" medical care. The doctors will be limited to what they can charge for any procedure, and as a result their income will be limited.
I think I will take a dull knife and whack off my nose because my face pisses me off.

You forget, as a "canuk"....you don't have the right to an "opinion" as to what we do down here, politically.

All I can think is the negotiated rates for free (Medicare-cade) has made a large imbalance of rates. I assume that government control will even that out
Then do what they love most take frome the rich , bribe the poor and keep the difference

So, by your assertion, you are stating that of the 2,000 doctors surveyed 1,180 of them are idiots. What does that say about (your opinion of) American doctors in general?

There have been other studies that are totally opposite. Studies can be made to look anyway you want it to. If I want to slant a study to show doctors like the national plan, I would ask general doctors that work in the free clinics and such. Those doctors are typically salary and don't have a interest in the profits/losses of the office. But if you ask docs in private practice they will be against the national plan. Docs don't make the big bucks like they use to. Insurance has cut profits and many are having a hard time paying back student loans and paying for the 100,000.00+ liability a year. That is 100,000.00+ premium payment per year, not their coverage.

Many doctors are having a hard time and are leaving a lot of states because of insurance regulations in that state. Ob's are leaving faster than all other specialties because they cant afford liability insurance. Some of them pay over 200,000.00 per year.

We don't need a national plan, we need to lock up the lawyers that take bogus claims (My baby was born sick so it is my doctors fault. There are legitimate suits, but most are bogus). We need to make people responsible for their choices (If you smoke, you should pay a higher deductible and premiums, I should not have to share that cost, and neither should the government. Just an example, not picking on anyone).

I have friends that live in Canada and in Europe. Some of them or their friends have come to the US for health care because they couldn't get what they needed at home or the wait was so long. (I know of people in Canada that had to wait something like 6 months to get a MRI for headaches so they came to the US and were able to get it the same week. Imagine if it was caused by a tumor, they could die waiting to find out the problem). Our system is not perfect but it is easier to fix it than replace it with something else. We just need the people we put in office to do their jobs and stop being politicians. Do what is right for the country, not what is right for lobbyist that slid them some cash.

    Sorry about the rant.

Since you brought it up, I know of a Doctor who has misdiagnosed at least two people , one of those led to death that a proper diagnoses may have helped them live a little longer, yea, I know, big deal, always a guy with an ax to grind, what if it's your wife, mother, daugther? I for one am not going to give the jerks a chance to get me on the table unless they put me on it in a state of unawareness, or dead sleep. I don't think twelve to twenty years of schooling makes a #### bit of difference, it's about attitude and money.
Go read, get a 2nd opinion, on this site.
What the bleep do we know.

Just once !!!! tell me If it's so #### good. Why do many Canadians and Brits alike also have additional private insurance?

    And spare me the BS..please.

Just in case the Government goes bankrupt?? Me thinks not.

Why do said Governments state you can foot the entire bill (not just the drug bill) yourself, if you choose to use an experimental drug. Instead of the one they want you to use.

Could it be, the experimental drug might save your life. While the drug of choice, only eases your pain...until you die?

It's about choice...complete choice. Not mandated choices.

I rank that survey right along with the "closed" debate among leading scientist about global warming.
