Once when I lived in Iowa I was driving on US 20 towards waterloo at night and was doing about 75 (65 back then) in my car that had a radar detector. It starting going off and I started to scan the road. I look in the mirror and zero in on a pair of headlights in the hammer lane bearing down on me and a car that was following me. Looked to be a Crown Victoria so I slow down to about 70. Just as the CV was about to pass the car behind me, he juts out into the hammer lane right in front of the CV. No signals or anything. The CV had to brake hard. Well it turned out to be an Iowa State Patrol CV. He turns on the disco lights and proceeded to pull over that car.
Lesson for today. Don't cut off a cop.RedForeman, FatDaddy and tsavory Thank this. -

I have seen three or four such instances over the last month I hope it keeps up and we start seening morr of the cops getting 4 wheelers doing stupid stuff. But then again I watched two cops doing stupid stuff just today one slide to the express lanes no turn signal and just about 1/2 car behind and a 1/4 car in front of the cars already there oh and he was already past the solid lines that v out just before the dividing barriers.
The other was sitting about 5 cars behine of my trailer in the center lane i was in right for a while till I put on the turn signal then I guess he decided he was in a hurry because he was half way up me by the time the blinker hit #3.FatDaddy Thanks this. -

LOL, and usually told after the fact. But those days are over, too many ways to hang ya now.
Back in the day we chicken haulers didn't even think about a log book till somewhere in Arizona. Then we would paint a nice pretty picture and keep it up in California. After leaving the state it was useless. Next trip, brand new book.Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
I'm in a hurry to go to bed here... but before I go... DSP got me a load this morning...
Pick up in Dallas... guys were sooo fast, less than 15 mins to load 20 pallets... and I was good to go... Going to DE... Now parked at an independent truck stop on I-40 TN... Got here at night under rain... This place is not that big... I was very luck to find one spot in the back... It's dark here... driver that parked next to me told me someone stole some of his fuel last time he parked here...
Trucks coming late tonight parked in the middle of the lot blocking everybody else... Oh well... I guess they have no other option...
gotta go now...
