I've read and heard it all about CRST. Long stories, funny, horror, good. I'm still going to school with them for the simple fact that I want to become a truck driver and make this a long career. My attitude and commitment will never be torn by this company.

I have a few questions. These questions never seem to get answered in this website, not sure why?

How much money did you earn during the 28 days?

How much money did you earn every week after the 28 days?

How much experience can you really get from school?

How much money should I take with me once I leave for school?

How long are you suppose to be able to drive for before getting some rest?

I have no experience in trucking at ALL. But my will to learn keeps me positive as I strive at what ever I put my mind too. I'm a great driver though. I'm really excited to start this journey. This thread is not for people to tell me how bad crst is, I already know.

Thank you, and be safe out there. :)

So you've read about the bad equipment, the way in which you are treated less than human, forced teaming, and low pay, and still decided with all the other better options, you're going to CRST. Ok.

It could very well be that this was the OP's only option. We do not know the whole reason or story behind his decision.

As for the OP, the absolute best of good luck!

Just do what you have to do to get started.

Roehl has been running ads for people living in Miami.
Also look at Celadon and Midwest-coast Transport.
Celadon furnishes lodging and 3 meals a day.
Midwest-coast is a division of Comcar based in Auburndale, FL.
Either way, best wishes on your new career.

That is the attitude you need when starting out.

I began with CR England and they have even a worse rep than crst. The pay was bad but everything else was fine, did not have any other problems like all the complaints you read about. Had a pretty good time actually.

As long as you are willing to do what it takes then you will be fine no matter how crappy the training company is.

After six months I was able to leave and get on with a great company making a thousand a week and home every weekend.

CRST has forced per diem, so payroll will show 20 cpm, then below it will shoe 10 cpm per diem added to it. Aveage per week will change between 300.000 to 600.00 depending on how they run you. They have a tendency to run you for a couple of weeks then put you on city loads for a few days which pay very bad.

My son just left CRST, had to do a year somewhere, there are worse. But moving over to dry bulk at 27 percent will make a big difference in his pay check.

For training and the first year I would recommend PRIME at the moment , much better pay and equipment.

Most truck companies have their hubs and offices in Arkansas. Fed ex hires as well. They run everywhere. After 150000 miles no tickets you can get on with walmart. They take care of their drivers
