Pardon the noob question, but with the potential long hours and widely separated locations, are sleepers commonly used in The Patch, either by o/o's or company drivers?

Watched a video on YouTube where they brought campers up to the sites. Wonder if they had satellite as well to catch the hockey game.

It might help if you said what you need help with. Honestly 5 posts in 13 minutes. That just annoys people

Sorry there Nitogen, not trying to be disrespectful. Just need to get some posts up in order to private message people, later. Honestly I have a lot of respect for you guys and gals up there. I guess in GP there are many different types of driving jobs and I would like to know if some are better than others or if its the same no matter which company you choose? I have been offered a job and l'm looking to make the move. The job requires you live in the Truck 24/7. Its just tough without getting a feel for whats going on up there that's all. Sorry again Nitogen-certainly don't want to piss you off. You have made such great contribution to this site.

I don't know a thing about tanker work in that area. I would go on KIJIJI and search Grande Prairie area.

I was talking with some calfrac guys last week on a job.
They say they are extremely short handed on the coil side of things.
For the guys that arent from Alberta, they work them a 22/13 schedule with paid flights or paid travel allowance. Probably make anywhere from 65 to 90 a year

Edit...youll probably end up in red deer or gp.

    Rookie1 Thanks this.
