I know it's an old thread, but does anyone have pictures of this? I'm planning on trying both boost/fuel temp mods and want to be sure I don't mess it up. And if it makes any difference, I'm doing this on a KCB C13.

Fuel temp wire yes. You can find it described all over the web.

Boost wire...I don't really think so...looks cool...but its kind of a talking the talk and walking the walk deal...

Looks like its talking but when it comes to walking, you don't get much if anything.

We have fuel temp wires on all of ours. As long as the fuel is cool you get a good bump...maybe 50hp on the best day. As the fuel gets hotter your not getting anything you wouldn't have gotten anyways.

I'm running mostly the Midwest, so it should be a nice help. The farthest south we go is North Carolina so it should help quite a bit around the Knoxville/Asheville area ;-) and I've seen Mr. Haney say that a 1k or 1.3k resistor is about perfect, not much more smoke than I already make, but helpful with the power.

I'm just looking for a good picture/pictures of both of these being made and installed. Google is useless lol

So the boost wire does add power?? I've just read so many places that it adds smoke, but not real gain...yeah, smoke is more fuel, but if it doesn't come with the air to burn it how much can it help? Just really wanting to know now. Anybody have seat of the pants experience with one?? Do they add much? Any added mpg? Maybe a 1/2 a 10th...it all helps! lol

I've seen threads about guys using 5k resistors, and Mr. Haney said that was WAY too much. From what I gather the 1.3k is the most you should use. I'm doing both tomorrow and will report back this week. Hopefully it wakes up the little kitty lol

So I'm stumped... when the motor was rebuilt everything was painted over. I can't find the fuel temperature wire or the boost sensor, if anyone out there has done this or knows where it is, I would greatly appreciate the help. Any links to photos would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance!

Alright! Boost wire is done, thanks to some smooth talking the local CAT house. Tried both 1.5k and 1k resistors. 1.5= a noticeable amount of smoke if you rod on it. The 1k = not much more smoke than without it, and turbo pressure went up by about 3psi. I'm sticking with the 1k for now. If you need pictures, please don't hesitate to PM me!

Sorry but I really don't that extra amount of soot in my motor oil. I would not use a boost wire on my engine....

It's not that much more than what I had without it. Think it would be a good training aid for a new driver, you roll into it and it hardly smokes, if you stomp on it on the other hand... well you know
