Trucking Schools in Kentucky Help Please

I just graduated from TDI in Sellersburg In. 7 miles north from Louisville Ky.
3 weeks of training and they do job placement now and anytime in the future if you need move on. They only work with companies willing to pay for your tuition of $6,000. It has 1 week classroom and 2 weeks driving and backing experience and you get tested for your license on school property. If you fail test there is no limit of how many times you can take the test. vondal

 

Also they provide a room at the remada inn from Sunday night through Friday Morning for the 3 weeks......15 days

 

I went to tat, in brooks ky, just about 2 miles south of louisville. truck america training. Good school. will get you thru all the basics, may even be better now ive seen them upgrading their place. located off I 65 on west side of highway near the brooks exit, exit 121. good luck.

 

MADA has substandard housing, and the equipment leaves a lot to be desired. However they have the best instructors on the face of the planet. Jay (the owner) is there every day and if you have ANY trouble he will be there to help you. I would strongly reccomend this school to you. I even told Jay the same I am saying here about housing and equipment. He knows it to be true. But there is a reason....

Housing is small but so isthe cab of a truck. Their equipment runs good but isnt in the greatest shape. He feels that if you can drive his trucks you can drive anything on the road today. And frankly he is right.

Amazing staff and they will build a solid foundation for you to get started with in this business.

 

I would say Delta or Mid American. You can call any truck company and talk to a recruiter and get a pre hire letter.... ( I am going with Werner myself if I complete 5 weeks training straight I get $500 bonus and after 6 months $500 bonus training pay is $325 for half and $350 for the other half of 5 weeks) ...
and they will fax a pre hire to the school and you. If it is a good school and the truck company will make payments each month for you to the loan institution or if you pay it off the truck company will pay you each month..... Some pay $100 $125 $150 or $200 per month. If you dont like the Company you pick and change companies with in 6 months or less some will hire you and pick up the remainder or your loan. The school I went to was TDI in sellersburg In. I thought it was good school but tuition was $6000. Werner pays $125 per month for that perticular school in tuition reinburstment. For some schools they only pay $100 per month. I also get GI Bill money. But I didn't like some of the Companies that paid more money per month. If you like flat bed and being on the road and making money [. Or . either way get your foot in the door and get some experience and figure it out you will do fine just don't give up before you give yourself a chance.
You can start with OTR and after 5 weeks change to regional or local. you can also change companies if you want just do some research.

Can anyone please give me some information on Mid American trucking Academy in Louisa Kentucky? I'm going there and would like to know if anyone can give me some information on it. I'm a 29 year old female and would like to know what I'm getting myself into. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

 

Read the forums and open your eyes , guys . Over 70,000 experienced drivers lost their jobs in the past year and things aren't getting better . Read the posts about people finishing company training then sitting weeks at home without pay waiting for a truck or trainer . Do you really want to do this ?
