I was thinking about using the temp harness but after reading this i guess it would not help much for me being down south where it is hot most of the time.

It might help a bit, I'd wire one up yourself though. Wouldn't be worth the money if you could only get the benefit for a short time. I'm running the upper Midwest so I'd see it a lot more with it being so #### cold up here most of the year.

Doesn't seem to do much, just makes smoke. Though the turbo seems to respond a little better.

The only thing that will do is put a lot of soot into your oil.

Yep, just a neat little party trick lol. I'm rigging mine to a switch so if I feel the need to roll a little coal, I can on command.

Do it, we are in SW Arkansas and it helps. But don't buy it. Go to Radio Shack and buy a little package of resistors and do it yourself for less than 5 bucks. You can find schematics all over the web. If you have the two wire sensor its simple...if its the three wire, its still simple...just a little more cutting. Google it and you'll find it.

    kaptainkhaos Thanks this.

Make sure to use a 150 ohm resistor for the fuel harness. Go on YouTube and look up CAT two-wire fuel harness. The guy does an awesome job and it looks like a factory harness. The same principle can be applied to the three-wire as well.

Hello Mr Haney, sorry to butt in. I had a question on the boost sensor mod on my 6nz. What you said here I think answers my question but figured I’d run it by you. Read a lot of forums that say they used a 5.6k ohm resistor in the boost sensor harness. Went ahead and installed it and upon full throttle it would dump a good amount of coal, start to pull good for about 3 seconds, then cut back as if it were running out of fuel. Drove it for 30 miles and it was consistent so I figured it was the ecm cutting the fuel, even though I never saw a engine light. My thought was that a 5.6k ohm was too much, and in this thread you recommended a 1000-1300 ohm? Also some of the forums I read I wonder how much is misprinted. So If you could give me your opinion I would greatly appreciate it. Engine is a 6nz19254, have a 150ohm resistor in the fuel temp harness. What should I run in both the fuel temp and boost harness? Thanks!

1.5 k on the boost in the green wire 100 to 150 ohm fuel temp simple a cave man could do it waste of time if you ask me though
