Parked Here for the Night

Lol, and now ya get to wait some more because well, you're late. And it's all your fault driver.

 

I really don't miss the. /\ docks in Boston. They have angle docks the pitch you out into the street, but not parallel to building.

Only dock I enjoyed. You drove down under building onto an old train turn table. You nose up to the doc, then the guy spins you around.

He matches you up to dock, pull forward if you have doors. Then bump the dock.

 

Enjoy your hometime and happy birthday to your wife.

 

Some have no understanding... they think trucks can "squeeze" and bend and fold and change sizes according to space... Others just don't give a crap...

 

WOW.... never seen those... in a "perfect world" all docks should be like that...

 

And.... I am still at this small fuel station... DSP couldn't find me a load today... she said that's "weird" this time of the year...
Well, with my "hometime" coming this weekend I wonder if she was having difficulty finding something going that way...
And I don't need to be at my "hometime" location earlier... not at all... I just need to be there this coming week for doctors' appointments, check 3 months of mail and take care of some other important personal things...
I don't really look forward to "hometime" at all... I hate the transition from truck to hotel and back... moving stuff, food, cookware, printer, this and that... it's tiresome... Then, spend all my time running errands, checking 3 months of mail, sit in a hotel room doing paperwork for my income taxes (I keep track of ALL my expenses, income, miles run, etc, etc)...
I hope my car is still working or may have to rent one... I really don't have time for that and too much to do in little time...

I hope this place here is safe for the night... This small fuel station will close within one hr and with the exit being closed for construction and the street ending right here... I think no other truck will park here tonight... there's nothing else here... Well... at least, it will be a VERY quiet night... hopefully...
And hopefully DSP will get me moving tomorrow...

 

At Carls corner.....cant bring my self to call it a Petro.....&they did trash the bar&the dance hall....which is wrong on more levels than I can define....but...they do have a DD....So I still grace em w/my presence...and at some point I'll ease down the Valley....i just have to find that box of ambition my wife said she packed for me

 

Well... my real "home" is inside the truck... LOL

But since my things are in a storage somewhere in TN and my extended stay "hometime" hotel is just across the street... which is EXTREMELY convenient, I take "hometime" there... Have been doing this for almost 6 yrs now...
And I ONLY take "hometime" to check my mail and take care of errands that are important... Other than that, no need for hometime at all... I would rather keep on trucking and avoid the tiresome moving things around...
Actually, I have been considering getting a UPS box near my co. terminal in OK so I don't need to go to TN to get my mail... Would like to stay 6 months on the road...
