You probably have a wealth of knowledge to share but you have such a air of ego around you I wouldn't listen to you. Don't talk down to people while offering advice. Just my opinion.

 

Chicken lights, black paint and chrome sure do look nice.... But at a million miles, it'll look good sitting in a shop somewhere when its broke down. $45000, way too high, especially if its an 07 or 08 acert, and I'd bet it is.

Just because it has a red oval on the hood, doesn't mean anything, underneath, its the same as a Freightliner.

And don't give me the resale value speech either... A million mile truck has little resale value to begin with...

Run while ya can.....

 

The list of reasons why I personally would not buy one of their trucks is long and endless, and $45,000.00 for ANY truck with a million miles on it is ridiculous. If it comes with a fresh overhaul and 4 year warranty, then maybe. I am not here to talk bad about any one or the trucks they are trying to sell, but if you have any interest in my reasons just say so and I will send you a PM.

 

Regardless of how you interpret how I "come off", right is right, wrong is wrong.
I honestly don't mean to come off like anything, but I will freely admit to incorrect advise bugging the hell out of me!
When we are talking about spending @$45,000 on a shiny POS , I wouldn't care how someone came off, but would care about accurate information.
Guess I look at things differently, but again if I came off as having an attitude etc, not my intentions and openly apologize to anyone that took it that way..

OP, if that is a ARD head Cat motor with a DPF filter, RUN!
Those engine have put more folks out of business than any other motor.
Midwest bought a load, and now they are selling them on. They refuse to sell to anyone that would lease it on with them, they are that bad.

I would take the Detroit over the ISX.

 

Bought my 379 Longhood little over a year ago and couldn't be happier. Pre emission 03 tho with the 6NZ 550. 800,000 on the truck 300,000 on an in frame done and I paid $36,000 cash. 135,000 miles later and still happy. Some here told me I was crazy to buy a hood but I sure haven't regretted it.
I wouldn't buy an acert tho and when it's time, this motor will get an overhaul before I buy anything new.
