Nothing happens quickly at a body shop. Between tear down, ordering parts fitting, probably ordering more parts, paint and final assembly, 10 business days is an easy estimate and I'm sure they told him that. Not to mention if a part is back ordered. Whenever I've had minor bodywork done the shop always schedules it a week or two out to source the parts. You guys don't have the luxury so you have to wait. BWI has cheap flights to FL. Greyhound is cheap. It's all about making sound decisions.

Was he parked at the junction of i495 and 95? If so this area does have cameras. I'd get in contact with md state police in college park or Maryland transportation in same area. They run that site and would have access to those cameras.if he was parked anywhere else like the rest areas on i95 there are no cameras in them.hope you get you truck soon

Called them, Barracks Q out of College Park, they are the ones that said the cameras do not record only monitored like a live feed I guess.

Lord YES!, This was the cheapest and it was only that cheap because he has his CDL and it's a TA hotel.

I was actually looking into free animation programs where I could run a simulation on what happened. And my husband said he's the one who removed the head light as it was dangling. Can't imagine that would look very good going down the road. Thanks for your reply and nothing wrong with hhaving a little extra time on your hands, some of us can only hope we have more time.:angel4:

Sounds like the people he's leased onto are at least helping him out instead of throwing him under the bus. If they don't find the people that did this I'm also assuming he has a deductible to be paid once the truck is fixed. Who is going to pay that? I sort of doubt they will let him leave without it being paid.

Is jumping on a bus to ride home an option and just rack this all up to bad luck?

Some options just in case you get cut off from here.

If you don't pay your rent they can't kick you out. It's a process. What they will try first is to have the property manager come over and tell you to move out in a week. That's BS. If the property manager does ANYTHING call the police. An eviction has to go through the court system and the Sheriff. This takes months. Water and other essentials cannot be turned off but varies from state to state.

There must be local food pantries around. They not only provide food but sundries too like TP and other stuff.

The Red Cross can also be a huge help if it gets too tough. In many cases they will pay your utility and rent. I've seen them at work first hand. One of the very few charities you can donate to with cash on Monday and it goes to help someone THAT DAY. I give to them on a regular basis.
